There are multiple ways of using Clay
But, all boil down to two basic setups,
Clay is a data enrichment tool with 100+ trusted data sources that modern companies use to super-charge their GTM Teams.
Even though there are countless use-cases of using Clay such as, Outbound list building & enrichment, Inbound leads enrichment, Pre-call preps, CRM data enrichment, trigger based enrichment, lead scoring and delegation etc.
But all these plays are based off of two basic setup types:
1. One-off tables
→ Relatively quick and easier to build
→ Simply export CSV or add to your CRM
Ex: A company has an old dataset of accounts and would like to enrich data with most recent information.
2. Streaming tables
→ Run in continuous manner, autonomously
→ Relatively complex and take time to build
→ Mostly based-off of certain signals e.g job changes, new hire, funding news etc
Eg: A company like Oley.IO may push all demo bookings to Clay to enrich data and a create short overview of the prospect and pre-call prep for the SDR for higher conversion.
